They have as a result missed out on the main advantages of such programs: the information collected. Asterion Software determined to change this and have developed an advanced service that is available to businesses for as little as€8 per week. Run completely through the browser it not only provides advanced data collection and analysis functions but removes the need for the business to worry about servers or data backup.

myrewardcard.ie is flexible enough that a business can define their Reward Program as they wish but powerful enough to verify customer contact information and include advanced security functions. It allows customers to see their points balances online and provides the business with reports on transaction trends which can help focus their advertising thus reducing its cost while increasing its effectiveness. There are also advanced communication features that help keep customers up to date on sales and other promotions as well as the ability to list in the directory.

localrewards.ie uses the advanced myrewardcard.ie infrastructure to provide Reward Programs for communities. Residents can use one card to avail of all the Reward Programs of participating businesses in their community or town. This makes it convenient for them since they only need one card. The localrewards.ie service helps the commuity to thrive by providing the means and incentive for people to shop locally.

Tourism Solutions
Focusing initially on Ireland, Asterion Software developed a range of tourism and related websites. These provided advanced integrated web and PC software that allowed online bookings which could be controlled by the B&B itself. In addition we developed ancillary sites to assist festival organisers reach audiences across these sites.

The RatePubs Network
Developed to allow publicans reach targeted audiences the RatePubs Network consists of a range of sites centered on ratepubs.com. The publican can control their information on the site including pictures and descriptions. These are then shown on the site itself and across a range of media thanks to our seamless distribution methods. The network consists of sites such as irishpubsdirectory.com, pubguidecork.com,pubguidedublin.com, californiabarguide.com, australiabarguide.com. The RatePubs Network was amongst the first to provide information on iPods and mobile phones and also powers the iPhone App 'iPub'. The information downloaded can in many cases be customised by the site visitor and the site uses reviews and other information to recommend pubs they might like wherever they visit. Realising that not everyone carries technology with them these customised guides can also be downloaded and printed.

Business Research
Not all businesses can afford to gather the information they need to prosper. This has typically been reserved for multinationals and government departments. Asterion Software decided to bring this capability to the other 95% of businesses and developed and patented software that could allow the fast gathering and analysis of customer opinion. Businesses could run this themselves or it could be conducted for them for less than the cost, and with faster results, than a typical survey organisation. This software was later sold to Minotaur Business Research Systems Ltd.
